A look back on our favourite custom build homes from 2024

From contemporary marvels that blend with the Yarra Valley’s natural beauty to traditional custom build designs infused with modern comforts, as custom home builders, 2024 was a year of pushing boundaries and exceeding expectations.

We’ve designed and built an impressive array of custom build homes that reflect the shifting desires of Melbourne people. Each residence stands as an expression of bespoke luxury homes, combining distinctive design elements with sustainability features.

Let us take you through our year of turning houses into dreams homes and we look forward to the exciting possibilities that lie ahead.

Bespoke Luxury Homes Design Trends and Innovation

Sustainable living remains a prominent theme, with many homeowners incorporating passive house principles. These designs use strategic orientation and advanced insulation systems to maintain natural warmth in winter and coolness in summer, significantly reducing energy consumption.

SMART home automation and security has transformed daily lives in 2024. Some homeowners chose personalised lighting scenes, climate control systems, and entertainment systems, all controllable through voice activation or apps. These intelligent systems create the perfect mix of comfort and convenience while optimising power use.

Natural materials gained prominence, with homeowners favouring bamboo, cork, and reclaimed materials. These elements add character while helping to create low-tox living environments. Natural stone accents, unpolished metals, and large windows perfectly integrate the lines between indoor and those Yarra Valley views.

Off-grid living elements marked a significant shift in custom build homes. Advanced solar technology, rainwater harvesting systems and hybrid power solutions became features for many of our new homeowners.
