Middle Creek Farm: Silvan

Designed and constructed in close collaboration with the clients and New Edge Building Design from the initial concept stage, through to building permit approval and construction completion, this striking residence in Silvan exemplifies Cobalt’s full-service approach. The result is a stunning 450m² modern farmhouse, complete with a matching shed for architectural continuity, brought to life within just 10 months.

The exterior blends rural charm with contemporary flair, featuring Selkirk Vintage Red Bricks, James Hardie Oblique Cladding and Veneer Stone. Inside, the palette softens with layered textures of soft whites, warm timber tones and stone accents to create a calm and welcoming interior.

Sustainably built to a 7-Star energy rating with a BAL-29 and N3 wind rating, this home also includes a 160,000-litre water tank to support regional living.

Highlights include a zero-threshold transition to the spacious alfresco, fitted with electronic blinds for all-weather comfort and a dramatic raked ceiling through the central living zone and a Paul Agnew-designed fireplace atop a floating porcelain hearth. Additional custom features such as Porters Stone Fine feature walls, fully custom integrated joinery, an arched bar for entertaining and curved detailing in the main bathroom make this home a true standout in modern design.
